Inspired by crimsoneyed rosemallow flowers, which I was first able to see up close while visiting Sam Houston Jones State Park in southwest Louisiana. These huge white flowers have dark crimson colored centers and have always stood out to me in clusters, even when seen from far away or while driving along roadside ditches. These flowers are truly stunning, so I knew I needed to make an everlasting version.
These earrings are handmade with primarily size 11/0 seed beads and measure just over 1” across. The flowers do have a 3D shape, with a depth of about half an inch. The earring hooks are corrosion- and stain-resistant stainless steel fishhook ear wires with a copper-plated brass accent ball.
