About me

Hi! I'm Anna, the maker behind Beads in Bloom.

Beyond the beads, I am a mom, a geologist by training, and someone who finds joy in the little things - the perfect cup of coffee, the warmth of the sun on my skin. I started Beads in Bloom in 2020, making daisy chain bracelets and anklets. A few years later, I learned new beading techniques and fell in love with using smaller seed beads to make more intricate, floral-inspired designs. Much of my inspiration comes from the outdoors - the beautiful art that mother nature provides. I especially love recreating wild flowers with beads, to create blooms that last forever.

Everything here is made and designed by me. Some patterns I have adapted from traditional bead-weaving, others have been fully my design. It takes time to create, but for me it is time well-spent. I hope you find something that brings you joy!

About the jewelry

Beads in Bloom pieces are made with primarily round, Miyuki 11/0 glass seed beads, woven together with high quality beading thread. This means that the blooms themselves and rings (without findings) are 100% waterproof. Wear them wherever, whenever. The earrings have a wide variety of findings, depending on what I had in mind for the specific pairs and the findings that I have had available to me throughout my beading journey.

*If there is a pair of earrings available that you love the design, but not so much the findings, there is a good chance that I can make an exchange for you (e.g., switch gold earring hooks for the silver version). For more information, check out the custom requests page!
